Bio
I received my PhD in Rhetoric and Composition from the University of South Carolina in 2018. I am now a part of the Humanities Department at the New York Institute of Technology, where I am working to help develop a new Technical Communication major and to expand the department's science writing offerings. I live in Montclair, New Jersey with the poet Josh English and our twin children.
My current writing projects include an overhaul of my manuscript Rhetoric and Plants and chapter in an edited collection under advance contract with the Ohio State University Press.
My recent teaching projects include a young course on scientific writing, a nascent course on science journalism, and an experiment in contract grading.
